Vikings:War of Clans Materials and Resource Yielding Tips and Tricks

Hello and welcome to another Vikings:War of Clans Guides!

Today we will be talking about how to improve our resource yielding times and what materials are found in different resource tiles.

First off let us talk about resource tiles and what materials they contain:

(Image by Hana Lind - thank you very much!)

As shown in the image above, from top to bottom:

Silver Altar (Silver) :Can Contain ALL of the crafting materials
Hewer's Camp (Stone) : Glass, Leather, Granite
Iron Deposits (Iron) : Steel, Lead, Diamond
Lumberjack's Shed (Lumber) : Debris, Hide, Feather
Farmlands (Food) : Rope, Elixir, Cotton
Gold Fields (Gold) : Can Contain ALL of the crafting materials

Special note about Invader Lairs : they all contain the materials specific to the invader that was slain but can also contain any of the materials specific to the resource yielded.

Now that we have clarified what is inside the resource tiles , let us see what we can do to improve our Yielding Speed:

Knowledge Upgrades:

Capacity, Fleetness and Spoils of War I , II and III

These all play an important role in Resource Yielding and Material Farming because Capacity helps us by sending less troops for the same amount of resources, Fleetness allows marches to get there faster and Spoils of War increases the yielding speed.

Hero Equipment:

Helm: Centurion's Helmet (+10% Yielding Speed)
Armor: Centurion's Armor (+9% Yielding Speed)
Weapon: Centurion's Dagger (+8% Yielding Speed)
Boots: Haakon's Boots (+12% Yielding Speed)
Amulets x2: Centurion's Ring (+9% Yielding Speed)

Total Yielding Speed: +57%(Not taking into account Topaz Gems or any Runes)

Shaman Equipment:

Helm: Nielloed Mask (+8% Yielding Speed)
Armor: Spaulders of Wrath / Printed Tunic (+8% Yielding Speed)
Weapon: Rod of Destiny (+6% Yielding Speed)
Boots: Crusher's Boots (+8% Yielding Speed)
Amulets x2: Sacral Ring (+9% Yielding Speed)

Total Yielding Speed: +48%(Not taking into account Topaz Gems or any Runes)

Hero and Shaman Skill Points

Hero adds +200% and Baggi the Big another 20% yielding speed from talent tree.

Number of Marches:

Having multiple marches out at the same time will greatly increase the amount of resources you yield per hour. Increase your Shrine of Odin and the extra marches from Oracle to get as many marches available as possible.

Knowing the actual resource amount:

Most level 6 resource tiles are over 1M so they do not display the actual resource amount:

Level 6 Hewer's Camp and Lumberjack's Shed : 1036800
Level 6 Farmlands : 1296000
Level 6 Iron Deposits: 777800
Level 6 Silver Altars : 518400

These exact numbers will help you send less troops to yield the whole tile (when possible) in order for you to help the kingdom reset the tiles faster.

Knowing the difference in yielding speed:

From fastest to slowest:

By resource type:

Food>Lumber>Stone>Iron>Silver

By tile level:

Uber Invader Lairs  > Level 7  Resource Tiles  > Level 6 Resource Tiles  > Level 6 Invader Lairs  > Level 5 Resource Tiles > Level 5 Invader Lairs etc.

Clan shop or item shop yielding boosts:

Clan shop offers +50% for one hour just make sure you apply it before the yield starts!

In conclusion , Resource Yielding was my main source of gold generation when I started out and I still enjoy it very much.

It also plays a very important role in this game since pretty much all the global competitions award points for it , it is the main source of materials and it is also the main controverse point of this game because of tile hitters.

  1. Your hero equipment list should include: Sweyn's Locket, Killer's War Hammer, Ragnar's Helmet, & Killer's Chain Mail, to boost capacity. It's not all about speed.

    1. Hey David, if you mean the Standard Equipment list, that's exactly what that is , a list of items to boost stats before you can get Stronghold and/or Invader equipment. It's meant to be that way :)

    1. Hello Gaston - the material drop is random so you can get lucky and get a material even on a very low count of troops sent. However the best way I have noticed so far is to cover the whole tile with your troops - If your yielding speed is rather low and you don't have enough troops to do this for all of your marches you can do it on level 5 tiles and have great results.
