So you have joined Vikings:War of Clans, you are presented with your town and finish the tutorial.
You decide to move your town to another kingdom before you get Palace level 6 and you are ready to move up in the world.
Here's a short guide that will help you do that faster:
Resource yielding in level 6 areas is much faster than in any other ones. After a global event is won by your kingdom, level 7 resource tiles will spawn only in the level 6 area and around the Millenial Forrest. These are special tiles that yield 5 times faster than level 6 ones.

- JOIN A CLAN
A clan is necessary to move forward because it unlocks clan tasks (extra XP for your hero and shaman)
Being in a clan allows you to participate in clan events. Events that give you gold rewards and booster rewards that will enable you to speed up any process in your town.
Clan mates will help you as you will help them with resources and advice. Also you will be able to work together towards a common goal.
The clan stronghold has an area around it in which it gives various buffs depending on it's level. Even at level 1 a clan stronghold will power up your resource production speed by 20%.
The help feature will allow your clanmates to directly impact the speed at which your town progresses. It will speed up your knowledge and building by either 1 minute or 1% of the total duration. You may not think it's much at first but when you get to upgrades that take weeks , it will be of tremendous help.
- RELOCATE TO A HIGHER LEVEL AREA
It may come as a surprise but being in the level 1 area only slows you down.
If your clan's stronghold is not in a level 6 area, that is what you are aiming for.

- SHIELD
After doing well in a competition or why not , participating in the clan competitions you will notice that you have a steady gold income.
At your level you should not use that gold for anything else but shields. Preferably 7 day shields because they are cheaper.
A shield prevents other players from attacking your town and it keeps your resources safe from their sacking raids.
It also protects the little ammount of troops you have at first so you are still able to yield resources for more upgrades.
Please be aware that the shield will not protect your troops while they are out of town.
Those were the 3 most important things you need to do to ensure you will be developing faster than the average newbie town in Vikings: War of Clans.
